What is this thing on my iPad?  It's the Self Service app. It's there so your school can send apps and programs to you to use. You'll find a variety of school apps sorted by category. To install one, just tap on the one you want and press the "install" button. There could a few reasons why Self Service isn't installed. It should have been done when you activated your iPad.
